Tomokazu Matsuyama to Participate in Benefit Auction on Artsy, the World's Largest Online Art Platform
Tomokazu Matsuyama will participate in a benefit auction on Artsy, the world’s largest online art platform, in support of the Asian American Arts Alliance (A4), a non-profit organization based in New York City that supports the work of Asian American artists. A benefit auction will be held on Artsy, the world’s largest online art platform, to support the Asian American Arts Alliance (A4).
The auction, “Tomokazu Matsuyama for the Asian American Arts Alliance,” will be held exclusively on Artsy for two weeks from May 12 to May 26, 2022, and will feature Tomokazu Matsuyama’s “Fictional Landscapes” series, including 《 Only one piece, “Another Believer” (2021), from Tomokazu Matsuyama’s “Fictional Landscapes” series will be offered.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit A4, an organization dedicated to sharing various resources, promoting, and building community to strengthen Asian American artists and cultural organizations. The expected bid price for this work is $150,000-$200,000.
Commenting on the auction, artist Tomokazu Matsuyama said: “The art world is beginning to evolve but Asian art still needs a stronger voice. I want to amplify our voices through this benefit auction, and give back to an organization that’s dedicated to strengthening Asian American artists and cultural groups. ”
