Amadour’s solo exhibition ‘Nevada Proscenium’ will be held at Truckee Meadows Community College in Nevada, USA from May 18 – June 18, 2026. 
The work draws inspiration from Nevada’s mining history, referencing the timbered frameworks that supported underground labor while obscuring the workers themselves. Rather than embracing familiar frontier narratives, Amadour’s work challenges the idea of the West as vacant or untouched. Instead, the exhibition presents Nevada as a place marked by overlapping ecological, political and cultural histories, many of which remain overlooked in mainstream representations of the region. Latinx identity and presence are woven throughout the work, reflecting communities that have long contributed to shaping the state while often remaining absent from dominant historical narratives.  
The pieces invite viewers into quiet reflection, asking them to reconsider how landscapes are constructed—not only physically, but socially and historically. Rooted in Northern Nevada and informed by both personal and collective histories, Nevada Proscenium ultimately examines how place is remembered, experienced and made visible, and what remains just beyond view.
