OVERVIEW

Takehito Koganezawa (b. 1974, Tokyo) graduated Musashino Art University, College of Art and Design,Department of Imaging Arts and science, and started presenting his video works while at college. From 1999 to 2017, he was based in Berlin. The artist has a strong interest in “motion” and “place”, and is creating his works based on video installations. He also has been expanding his expression where performances, drawings,three-dimensional works, and sounds interact with each other creating motions. In recent years, he has been working on stage and in theatrical spaces, moving toward an exploration of generation and dissolution. He has participated in important international exhibitions such as Media City Seoul, Manifesta, and Sharjah Biennale, and has also participated in the Yokohama Triennale, Aichi Triennale, and Roppongi Crossing in Japan.
